Handcuffed, shackled and bearing signs of strangulation, the body of Mahmoud Ismail Shabat, 34, was identified by his parents after being held by Israeli forces for two years. His mother recognised him via photos displayed by the Ministry of Health after Israel handed over his body in Khan Younis on October 18.
