At least four people were killed in protests in Cameroon’s commercial capital, Douala, ahead of the presidential election result, after opposition leader Issa Tchiroma urged supporters to demand that President Paul Biya — the world’s longest-serving leader — step down after 43 years in power.
On October 27, Biya was re-elected for an eighth term, winning 53.66% of the vote.
