ICC to investigate war crimes after Darfur massacre

Prosecutors at the International Criminal Court are warning they will investigate reports of mass killings and rapes in Darfur, after the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces took control of the key city of Al Fasher last month. They say they are taking steps to preserve evidence of possible war crimes.
Their statement comes as a UN-backed body officially confirmed famine in Al Fasher and the besieged city of Kadugli in South Kordofan state, adding that twenty more areas are also at risk.
