Hundreds of flights across the US have been cancelled after the Federal Aviation Administration ordered nationwide flight reductions due to the government shutdown.
Airlines scrambled to adjust schedules, leaving travellers stranded and frustrated as cancellations and delays spread to at least 40 airports in over two dozen states.
