In Sudan, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces are inching ever closer to the army-controlled capital Khartoum via advances on Al Obeid — and wherever they take over, there are reports of atrocities, summary executions, and mass displacement. Thousands are already fleeing, food is scarce, and famine has taken hold in Darfur’s Al Fasher and Kadugli in South Kordofan.
Meanwhile, in Gaza, the ceasefire struck on October 10 is crumbling.
