Super Typhoon Fung-Wong is becoming the biggest storm to hit the Philippines this year. It has triggered mass evacuations, power outages and widespread disruption. Nearly one million people were ordered to leave high-risk villages as the storm began battering Luzon. Schools closed, flights were canceled, and ships were held at seaports as authorities raised the highest alert level in several provinces.
