Nigerian minister, Mohammed Idris, denies claims of the mass killing of Christians and says the Nigerian government has not lost control of its territories.
He says, most of the claims are "a result of a lack of proper understanding" as he recognises the challenges but states the conflict is very "complex".
He claims a terrorist organisation is paying lobbies to spread misinformation.
The minister calls on the US government to form a partnership, to help Nigeria "have peace once and for all".
