US President Donald Trump has threatened the BBC with a 1 billion dollar lawsuit over a 2021 speech that was edited in a way that made it appear he directly encouraged the Capitol riots. The controversy led to the resignation of two BBC executives – which Trump welcomed – as the broadcaster’s chair apologised for the ‘error of judgement.’ Shadia Edwards-Dashti reports.
