The UK government has announced plans for huge changes to its immigration policy affecting refugees. The biggest change will see refugees having to wait 20 years for the right to apply to permanently stay in the UK. The country’s interior minister –known as the Home Secretary – is also threatening to stop granting visas to people from three African countries if their governments don’t co-operate more on deportations.
