A new investigation published by the Arms Embargo Now coalition reveals that Canada continues to arm Israel and provides key components for Tel Aviv’s fighter jets and the bombs used in Gaza.
The report directly contradicts the official position of Ottawa, which claims to have suspended its weapons shipments to Tel Aviv. Rachel Small told TRT World this is “one of the biggest propaganda scandals in Canada” in decades.
Opposition lawmaker Jenny Kwan has now introduced a bill to close legal “loopholes” that allow Canadian military components to be sent to the US before being shipped to Israel. The bill will be debated on Wednesday and is scheduled for a vote in February.
