Mount Semeru volcano spews pyroclastic flows engulfing bridge

Indonesians flee as massive pyroclastic flows engulfed a bridge following Mount Semeru’s eruption on November 19.

The volcano, located on Java island about 310km west of Bali, erupted at 2:13pm local time, sending ash and gas 13km into the air and prompting authorities to raise the alert level to its highest.
