New hopes of a breakthrough in negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. The leaders of Britain, France and Germany have expressed their support for US President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war following a meeting of the so-called ‘Coalition of the Willing’ on Tuesday. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said revised US peace proposals are now workable – and that Kyiv has a ‘common understanding’ with Washington. Despite this, as the talks were ongoing Russia has launched another wave of drone and missile attacks against Ukraine – killing at least seven people in Kyiv.
