Pope Leo XIV makes the first foreign trip of his papacy to Turkey and Lebanon, continuing a journey originally planned by Pope Francis. On this day, he visits Iznik to mark the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicea, meets bishops, priests, and pastoral workers amid deep religious and political tensions in the region.
