France’s top court on Wednesday upheld ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy’s conviction for illegal campaign financing of his reelection bid in 2012, dealing another blow to his legacy and reputation. Sarkozy last month became the first post-war French leader to spend time in prison following his conviction in a separate case.
