Over the past two years, more than 6,000 people in Gaza have lost limbs as a result of Israel’s war on the enclave. Israel’s crippling blockade has left the health sector facing severe shortages of essential materials needed for rehabilitation and providing prosthetic limbs.
Hamad Rehabilitation and Prosthetics Hospital is working to offer rehabilitation services and artificial limbs, but it faces severe shortages and an overwhelming number of patients, including children and women.
