TikTok safety fears as hundreds of moderators leave company

Sky News has spoken to three TikTok whistleblowers who say users are being put at risk by mass layoffs at the company.

As well as increasing the role of AI in moderation, TikTok is reportedly offshoring jobs to agencies in other countries.

TikTok says the changes will maximise the effectiveness of moderation on the platform.

The moderators’ names in this report have been changed to protect their identity.
