“I am a US citizen, please help me!”
Immigration agents stopped an American woman wearing medical scrubs in Florida on Wednesday and forcibly removed her from her car.
US Customs and Border Protection told the Miami Herald that the woman had refused to hand over her driver’s license.
According to a ProPublica investigation, at least 170 US citizens have been wrongly detained by immigration agents in recent months.
