UK journalist censored by Gmail and YouTube

British journalist Robert Inlakesh says YouTube and Google have deleted his accounts, where he shared stories about Palestine and covered human rights violations by Israeli forces.

Both platforms declined to provide an explanation. However, YouTube recently told The Intercept that his content was removed following an investigation into “influence operations backed by the Iranian state.”

Inlakesh’s work has previously appeared in Middle East Eye, TRT World, The New Arab, The Palestine Chronicle, Al Mayadeen, The Middle East Monitor, and Press TV, an Iranian state-owned media outlet.

He told TRT World that the crackdown imposed by YouTube and Google now poses a threat to all journalists working for foreign public broadcasters.
