Tensions in the West Bank continue to escalate in a region where politics, religion, and decades of bloodshed shape daily life. Israelis and Palestinians both lay claim to the territory, fuelling a cycle of conflict that shows little sign of easing.
A major point of contention is the expanding network of Israeli settlements. Thousands of settlers have moved into the West Bank, constructing communities on land Palestinians consider their own. The settlements are deemed illegal under international law, yet they are authorised and supported by the Israeli government.
Sky’s Middle East Correspondent, Adam Parsons, has been in the region speaking to one of the settlers at the heart of this highly charged dispute.
