Both Australia and Britain have been struggling to contain a surge in rising antisemitism.
Michael Wegier, chief executive of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, told Sky News Jews were already under threat before the Hamas attacks of 7 October.
But antisemitism both here and in Australia soared before Israel’s response to the atrocity, Mr Wegier said.
