A remote village in northern Mali was burned to the ground, with survivors accusing the Russia-backed Africa Corps of carrying out the attack and widespread violence, including sexual assaults. Thousands of civilians have fled across the border into Mauritania, where aid workers report severe trauma and underreported cases of abuse among refugees.
