Securing forensic evidence in Gaza investigations while rebuilding – Is it possible? | DW News

Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the SItuation of Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, says Gaza needs to be treated as a crime scene before substantial rebuilding can begin. Flooding caused by winter rains has added to the misery of hundreds of thousands living in makeshift accommodation in the Gaza Strip. But Albanese insists more investigation into Israel’s actions and alleged war crimes is required ahead of a major reconstruction program.
