The United States and its coalition partners have launched a series of air strikes on Syria. The targeting of Daesh positions in the east follows an attack on US soldiers which left three dead. It comes as President Trump’s administration repeals an Assad-era sanctions package, bringing renewed hope to Syrians despite the fear of escalation. Nour Qormosh reports from Damascus.
