A high-speed police chase ended with officers holding three children, ages just 12, 11, and 8, at gunpoint, in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 20.
Police say the juveniles stole a vehicle and fled when officers attempted a traffic stop. The chase reached up to 79 mph before the car crashed into a home. The kids ran on foot but were found moments later — an officer drawing his weapon and ordering them to lie on the ground as one child cried for his mother and another begged not to be shot. All three were released to their parents while potential juvenile-court charges are pending.
