Myanmar’s junta plans elections under international doubt as vast cyber-scam networks exploit trafficked workers along its borders. Despite regional crackdowns, many scam centers adapt and continue operating. The UN says ongoing conflict and military rule make both the elections and efforts to end the scams unreliable.
