European countries are beginning to beef up security in Greenland, in the hope that doing so might discourage the US President Donald Trump from trying to take over the island. At the moment reinforcements are being described as “modest” but allies say it is only a first step, while something more permanent is in the works. The White House, however, has suggested that troops or no troops, it makes no difference to their plans. TRT World’s Victoria Innes reports.
