Israel has approved a new surveillance measure in the occupied West Bank. It’s authorised the use of electronic tracking devices on individuals placed under administrative movement restrictions. The Israeli military says the move is meant to enforce restraining orders and curb violence. But Palestinians say the policy exposes a familiar double standard, particularly after Israel’s defence minister explicitly excluded illegal settlers from the measure. Mohammad Al-Kassim reports.
