A high-speed train in southern Spain derailed on January 18, colliding with another high-speed train, killing at least 42 people and injuring more than 150, Spanish authorities reported. Two days later, another train crashed into a wall which had fell onto the train tracks. Despite safety concerns regarding the railway system, authorities say investigation into the first incident could take months. FRANCE 24’s Sarah Morris has more from Madrid.
