British citizens will be able to travel to China without needing to get a visa.
The announcement by Downing Street came after the prime minister met President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
Downing Street also said the PM had secured a cut in whisky tariffs.
Sir Keir Starmer is on a five-day visit to China, the first time a British leader has visited Beijing in eight years.
