Could the House of Lords scupper the UK’s proposed assisted dying law?
Former Justice Secretary under Tony Blair, Lord Charlie Falconer, has warned in a letter to his fellow peers that the current rate of progress on the Assisted Dying Bill means it may fail to be fully scrutinised in time.
He told Mornings With Ridge and Frost what this could mean for supporters of the legislation, and why a law from 1911 may change the direction of travel.
