Israel partially reopens Gaza’s Rafah border crossing

The border crossing with Egypt is a lifeline for Palestinians who are in desperate need of more aid. It also serves as their gateway to the outside world. The reopening allows a limited number of pedestrians to cross, including medical patients with relatives. The Rafah Crossing has been mostly closed since May 2024 after Israeli forces took over the area, with thousands of families seeking to return. Tayyibe Aydin reports.
