We begin with the US military build up near Iran, and a possible easing of tensions. Both countries are expected to hold talks this week, as Trump says he is still hoping for a diplomatic solution. Trump has repeatedly threatened to attack Iran. First he said a strike would come if the regime killed protestors. Thousands are now dead, but no military action yet. Now he says the regime has to make a deal on its nuclear program or face attack. Iran last week said it would not negotiate under threats, but now it appears ready to do just that. It follows a show of defiance from Iran’s Supreme Leader over the weekend.
