At a National March for Palestine on January 31, the UK’s Metropolitan Police arrested a Palestinian man for chanting “intifada,” following a report made on the force’s X account. The arrest, during a largely peaceful protest calling for an end to UK arms exports to Israel, has reignited concerns over free speech and the policing of pro-Palestinian expression.
