US police say blood on porch belongs to Nancy Guthrie. The 84-year-old mother of the US news anchor Savannah Guthrie disappeared from her home near Tucson, Arizona at the weekend.
The Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said they believe Nancy Guthrie was “removed from her house against her will”. Nanos said he believed she was still alive and confirmed that no suspects have been identified.
Savannah Guthrie, the host of NBC’s Today show, and her siblings Annie and Cameron, have made a tearful video appeal for their mother’s safe return. They said she is in poor health and without medication needed to keep her alive.
Nancy Guthrie was last seen by her family at her house on Saturday night, and was reported missing the following afternoon after a family member received a call from a member of her church saying that she wasn’t there.
