Why Iran is unwilling to discuss its ballistic missiles program in nuclear talks with US | DW News

On Friday, high-stakes US-Iran talks were mediated by Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi. There has been disagreement on the scope of the talks, with Iran wanting to focus exclusively on nuclear enrichment, and the US pushing for talks on Iran’s ballistic missiles program. Nevertheless, the talks got off to a positive start, according to Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi.
