Buddhist monks conclude ‘Walk of Peace’ in DC

After a four-month pilgrimage covering 2,300 miles, a group of 19 Buddhist monks arrived in Washington, DC, to share a message of unity and peace. TRT World filmed their arrival at the Lincoln Memorial, where a large crowd was waiting for them.

The “Walk of Peace” drew thousands of supporters along the way. From small towns to major cities, people lined the roads to cheer them on at every stop. The journey also gained widespread attention on social media, transforming a quiet spiritual walk into a national movement.

At a moment of deep political division and social unrest, the monks said they are bringing a message of hope to Americans and people around the world
