South Africa faces mounting pressure over jobs and crime crisis

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has pledged new measures to tackle soaring youth unemployment and organised crime in his latest State of the Nation Address. With nearly 60% of young people out of work, the government says it will ease access to credit for youth-led businesses and expand employment programmes. Critics, however, question whether the plans will be effectively implemented. Vicky Stark reports
