Nancy Guthrie believed to be ‘held close to home’, sheriff says | BBC News

The sheriff leading the search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who disappeared from her Arizona home more than two weeks ago, says he believes she was the victim of a “targeted” kidnapping and is being held nearby.

In an interview with the BBC, Sheriff Chris Nanos criticised sensational media coverage and described Ms Guthrie’s daughter, TV presenter Savannah Guthrie, and her family as “victims,” not suspects.
