Iran’s foreign minister says progress has been made during Tuesday’s talks in Geneva between the US and Iran on the latter’s nuclear programme. Washington now expects to receive detailed proposals from Tehran to address gaps between their positions. Parallel to diplomacy both sides have ramped up military assets in the region. Similar talks last year broke down after Israel launched what became a 12-day war on Iran, that included the US bombing Iranian nuclear sites. Shadia Edwards-Dashti reports from Geneva.
