How volatile is the ceasefire along the Thailand-Cambodia border? | DW News

Thai forces are occupying Cambodian territory, according to Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Manet. Speaking in Washington, at a meeting of US President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace, Manet described the situation as "fragile" despite the December ceasefire and a peace accord brokered by President Trump.
Thailand says it is maintaining troop positions along the border as part of de-escalation measures, but it denies occupying Cambodian territory. The comments from both sides underscore the risk that the border conflict could flare up again. Can Cambodia sway Donald Trump to pressure Thailand in its ongoing border dispute?
