Police are continuing to search Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s former home, Royal Lodge, following his arrest four days ago on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Meanwhile, there are increasing calls for scrutiny into his time as trade envoy, from 2001 to 2011, with suggestions of a judge-led inquiry into his links to Jeffrey Epstein once the criminal investigation is concluded.
Former security minister Tom Tugendhat also called for a parliamentary investigation, and suggested that treason laws could be adapted for modern times "if the worst is proved".
Andrew has not been seen since he returned his new home, the King’s private Sandringham estate in Norfolk, after his arrest. He has consistently denied wrongdoing.
