The shady world of food delivery: Indian students end up exploited in Germany

Many Indian students who came to Germany with high hopes of climbing the career ladder are facing a harsh reality check when they get here. Shackled by high university fees and expensive housing, they often end up working as food delivery riders to make ends meet. But the industry is often underpinned by shady practices, involving anonymous subcontractors, subpar working conditions and pay below the legal minimum wage.
