The average annual energy bill will fall by 7% in April, Ofgem has announced.
The drop had been predicted by major forecasters Cornwall Insight, following government intervention to reduce bills.
Between April and June, the typical annual dual fuel bill will fall to £1,641 – down from the current £1,758 cap.
