Cyprus’ high commissioner to the UK tells Sky’s Yalda Hakim that he expects British forces to help defend the country and doesn’t want Cyprus to get dragged into the conflict in the Middle East. The UK has an RAF base in Cyprus and is sending helicopters and a warship to the region. The ship will not depart for Cyprus until next week, officials say.
