The first set of government documents about the appointment of Peter Mandelson as US ambassador have been released this afternoon
The Tories forced the government last month to agree to release everything connected to Mandelson’s appointment in December 2024 over concerns about what was known of his relationship with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Mandelson, who resigned in September 2025 over his ties to Epstein, is being investigated by police over allegations of misconduct in public office.
He denies all allegations about leaking commercially sensitive documents to Epstein.
