Fuel prices in Sierra Leone have risen by more than 12 percent per litre, as tensions in the Middle East disrupt global markets. Commuters in the capital Freetown say transport fares have already gone up, and fewer vehicles are available. Residents are now worried the rising costs will further strain household budgets.
