Speaking at an iftar dinner with AK Party deputies in Ankara on 11 March, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that even Israelis in shelters describe him as ‘the greatest disaster since the Holocaust’.
Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye’s clear stance in the war on Iran and stressed intensive efforts for a ceasefire and talks to prevent the fighting before it spreads further, saying Ankara aims to "extinguish the fire before the flames grow larger."
