President Donald Trump said the US destroyed military sites on an island vital to Iran’s oil network and warned that its oil infrastructure could be next if Iran continues to interfere with the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Fars news agency, citing sources on Kharg Island, said there had been no damage to oil facilities and that only military targets had been destroyed by the US strikes.
