The US flag has been raised over the American embassy in Caracas for the first time in seven years, symbolizing the restoration of diplomatic relations between Washington and Venezuela after ties were cut in 2019. The move follows an agreement to resume relations and comes months after Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro was captured in a US raid.
