US veteran injured in Congress while protesting  war on Iran

A Marine veteran who disrupted a US Senate committee hearing was forcibly removed by security, resulting in a broken hand. He said he felt compelled to use the gathering of lawmakers to voice his opposition to the US-Israel war on Iran.

Brian McGinnis is now facing charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and "unlawful" demonstration in connection with his March 4 protest.

Married to a Palestinian American, he said the unconditional support of the US for Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and now the war in Iran, convinced him he had to speak out.

“America is being coerced into destabilising and destroying Iran only for Israel’s ability to proliferate in the region,” McGinnis told TRT World.
